Commenting Challenge 

Select examples of comments you have posted with your class or comments your learners have posted to look at more closely and compare with our success criteria for writing a quality comment.

Are there comments you can reply to on your blog to help practise including the elements of a quality comment?

Highlight the comments on the big screen to focus conversations as a class or in small groups of 2-3

• Identify  elements of a comment learners are including.

• What elements can we improve?

e.g. revisit being specific, asking a question, helpful, thoughtful

• Are the word banks helpful? Print out and display or share on the class site.

• We are learning how to respond to comments on our blog.  Chromebook activity you are welcome to copy and/or repurpose for your learners e.g. as a class activity if learners are on iPads or no devices.

Commenting Challenge 

In response to your learners’ context,  identify criteria for your commenting challenge this week and share with your learners

e.g. 

Class Commenting - we will  comment on at least two of our Tuhi mai tuhi atu team blogs

OR

Individual Learners - we will  comment on two blog posts this week.
