Take time to focus on a specific element of a comment and collaborate with your learners to model writing a comment in response to a blog post on one of your Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu Team's blog.
Type the comment with input from the learners into a copy of one of the slides below.
Talk aloud encouraging use of vocabulary prompts in response to Cybersmart commenting criteria e.g. does the blog post remind us of something similar, can we add more information, can I ask a question
Model proof reading before publishing
Encourage use of power words and common and proper nouns in comments.
Learners blogging individually can make a copy of the slide to craft their comments before submitting on the blog.
Prompts and examples they have written with you can also be referenced.
The Class Blog: Look for opportunities to model writing a comment in response to a blog post on one of your Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu Team's blog.
Learners who have their own blog: could also make a copy of a slide deck to regularly practise crafting their comments before copying and pasting to publish using the comments field for a blog post of their choice e.g. Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu buddy.
Take a screenshot of a comment that has been crafted on a practise slide or published on a blog.
Insert screenshot in a copy of the Draw template or upload to an EE project
