Digital Immersion

Targeted teaching and learning support aims to provide an intensive wrap around programme of learning during your first year teaching in our schools.

Each of the Professional Learning and Development elements are designed to support you to become at home in a digital world, and confidently harness the affordances of digital technologies in your practice.

Outcomes include developing your confidence and capability to engage our young people both behaviourally and cognitively, and to empower learners and accelerate achievement, through creative learning opportunities,

The combined elements of this programme are designed to support all Manaiakalani learners to understand the power of belonging to connected learning networks, and to develop the competencies to participate in respectful and positive sharing in the digital world.

Supporting teacher digital fluency and confidence to deliver the curriculum in a digital environment is a priority. Facilitators will schedule time in the class with the teacher.

Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu is a key component of the in-class support.
