In Class Facilitation
Targeted teaching and learning facilitation aims to provide an intensive wrap around programme of learning during your first year teaching in our schools.
Each of the Professional Learning and Development elements are designed to support you to become at home in a digital world, and confidently harness the affordances of digital technologies in your practice.
Outcomes include developing your confidence and capability to engage our young people both behaviourally and cognitively, and to empower learners and accelerate achievement, through creative learning opportunities,
The combined elements of this programme are designed to support all Manaiakalani learners to understand the power of belonging to connected learning networks, and to develop the competencies to participate in respectful and positive sharing in the digital world.
A key component of this programme is in class facilitation for all teachers whose learners have 1:1 devices.
The purpose of this overview is to align planning and delivery of Cybersmart teaching and learning for in class support each term.
Your facilitator will collaborate with you to identify strategies and approaches in response to you and your learners. This will include modelling, collaborative planning and team teaching.
The overview also includes links to resources and learning tasks that can be copied and repurposed. Also see the Cybersmart Challenges shared on the blog each week.
